Here are Illustrator file mock ups of what I have so far for the Amelie inspired facebook app (description on previous post)

I worked on layouts for the index, creature profile, and the upload information pages.

I am going to change the navigation bar after I finish sewing the stuffed animal creatures. I want the colors of the tabs to correspond with the colors of the creatures.

This is the index page of the application. Everything outside of the gray box, and the chat room will stay consistent through out the pages. The logos, navigation, and the map will be done with flash.

This is the creature profile page. Group members will be able to share anything on the wall of each creature.

This is the upload information page. This is where people upload the photos and update the locations of the creatures.

The Prototype Project

Prototype concepts:

Global Cinema

The Internet allows you to communicate with people globally. For this next assignment, I want to make use of this global network by sharing data within the film industries from different countries. In this application, I want to display each country’s ‘recently popular films’ and ‘all time favorite films’.
Anyone will be able to vote on their favorite films while becoming more familiar with films produced all over the world.

Inspired by the Amelie

My second idea was to have a community of people pass along and take pictures with a stuffed animal creature. There will be a couple of creatures placed in random locations all over the world. The locations of the creatures will be posted on a facebook app. Whoever is in the community will know where the creatures are and will have a chance to meet them. When someone finds a creature, they are to take a picture with it in their location, hide it, and post up the picture with the new location on the facebook page. The creature will be passed along all over the world.

Marketplace

If the two prototypes above don’t workout, I would like to improve facebook’s Marketplace.

ABOUT

the logo. Growing up being half Japanese and half American is a difficult task. I am privileged to have experienced both cultures, but it is hard to sustain the balance between them.  In this logo I combined my two identities into one. This is the easiest way I can relate to myself.

直美 is my name in kanji.

Something I found

Posted in Core Studio by Naomi on February 23, 2010

that was totally useless to me

This is a belt rack

You probably wouldn’t have known if i didn’t tell you.

I don’t have this many belts, and even if i did I don’t think I would use this. the spaces between the hooks are too tight, and it looks unattractive in general.
